Popular Mormon mother TikToker Taylor Frankie Paul, who is known for her “soft-swinging” way of life, has been detained in Utah on suspicion of domestic assault.
According to a press release from the Herriman Police Department, officers detained Paul, 28, last Friday after responding to a report at around 11 p.m. She was charged with misdemeanor assault, criminal mischief, and domestic violence when a child was present.
Additional video evidence was obtained by detectives following her arrest, and it has been sent to the Salt Lake County District Attorney’s Office for review in order to determine whether to file charges for felony assault and a misdemeanor count of reckless child abuse.
According to HPD, “This evidence also suggests that during the incident, Ms. Paul’s minor child was injured by an action of Ms. Paul.”
Paul, 28, was arrested in Herriman on Saturday at 1:56 a.m., according to Salt Lake County Sheriff’s Office records, and released at 10:35 a.m. until her court hearing.
“Ms. Paul’s status as a social media influencer has no bearing or impact on the investigation or outcome of this case,” added HPD.
