There will now be a corpus of work to celebrate and remember Nightbirde, the America’s Got Talent competitor who won millions of fans over with her creative songs before passing away on February 19, 2022, from breast cancer.
The 10-track album, which has the singer’s AGT audition song “It’s Fine” as its title, was issued on Sunday by her family and The Nightbirde Foundation to commemorate the first anniversary of her passing at age 31.
The organization, which she and her brother Mitch Marczewski established to assist other women diagnosed with breast cancer, will benefit from the album’s sales.
“We can’t wait to introduce the world to Jane’s debut album. Because of her candour and joy in the midst of grief, her writing has touched the hearts of many “In a press release, the foundation’s CEO, Marczewski, stated.
He went on, “This record demonstrates that joy may arise from grief rather of pitting these emotions against one another. More than anything, Jane would be happy of the work being done by the Nightbirde Foundation to assist people in finding hope and healing in the midst of tragedy. She would be so proud of this record.”
According to a press release, each song was recorded by Nightbirde (real name Jane Marczewski) when she was battling cancer and is a “reflection of her bravery and the struggle she was facing in her own words.”
The album has an A side and a B side, with the pop album on the A side and the stripped-down versions of the same songs on the B side.
Nightbirde appeared in season 16 of the program, and during her audition, she revealed to the viewers “had some cancer in my lungs, spine, and liver, and I have a 2% chance of surviving, but 2% is not 0%, he continued. I wish more people were aware of how fantastic two percent is.”
That season, she won Simon Cowell’s Golden Buzzer, which propelled her right into the live shows. Her original song “It’s Alright” and narrative touched viewers’ hearts, earning her millions of YouTube views as well as streaming on music websites.
But a few weeks later, she pulled out of the competition, saying on social media that her health had “took a turn for the worse” and that she was no longer able to compete.
The artist wrote a lengthy Instagram post about her conflicted feelings and missing AGT when the season 16 finale aired in September 2021.
She added, “It’s extremely difficult for me to not be on the @agt stage for the finals this week.” “You probably have never seen someone lose so badly while simultaneously winning so much. The narrative wasn’t supposed to end like this.”
