Pedro Pascal, who plays Pedro in The Last of Us, talked about his experience wearing the bulky costume for Disney+. Grogu will be shielded by The Mandalorian in Disney+’s
Pascal, who portrayed the bounty hunter Din Djarin in the renowned series, was required to wear a really challenging costume the entire time.
The 47-year-old said in an interview with the Empire that it was “like putting on a head-to-toe weighted glove.”
Ironically, he continued, “you can’t see any facial expression because it completely immerses you in the scene and gives the character a life of their own.
Pascal stated, “They’ve continued to refine and make it more comfortable, but it’s like going blind,” when referring to the helmet that came with the costume. The tiny slit you can see through is completely obscured by the breath you’re exhaling. Peripheral vision is absent. I’ll fall into a hole if there is one.
Pascal’s costume does have one benefit, though, in that when he wears it “you immediately feel powerful, protected, dangerous, and like a protector.”
With his iconic role as Joel in the HBO Max hit series adaptation of the video game The Last of Us, Pascal is currently receiving praise.
