Today saw the release of the new trailer for the romantic comedy Beautiful Disaster. It features adorable clips from the movie that highlight the relationship between Dylan Sprouse and Abby, who play the lead characters, Travis and Abby (Virginia Gardner). Although they are drawn to one another and have strong chemistry and amusing banter, are they a good match?
The bestseller book of the same name by Jamie McGuire has been made into a movie called Beautiful Disaster. The plot centres on the courtship of Abby Abernathy and bad boy Travis Maddox. Abby first encounters Travis at an underground boxing bout where he spends his days as the campus charmer and his nights fighting. Travis is intrigued by Abby’s reluctance to succumb to his charms, so he makes her take a bet in exchange for living with him at his apartment.
The recently released teaser shows Travis and Abby’s adorable banter and attraction as Abby tries and fails to resist Travis’ allure. The trailer opens with their first encounter, which leads to Travis’ relentless pursuit of Abby. Despite her apparent attraction to him, Abby continues to reject Travis’ attractive appeal. The teaser also suggests how Abby’s troubled history can cause problems for them.
Roger Kumble is in charge of directing the bestselling book’s film adaptation, which will have its world premiere on April 12. Since he directed After We Collided, which was based on the romance novel of the same name authored by Anna Todd, Kumble is no stranger to romantic novel adaptations. On After We Collided, Kumble collaborated with Voltage Pictures and Sprouse. Kumble has previously mentioned in an interview his eagerness to collaborate once more with Voltage Pictures and Sprouse.
Gardner portrayed Karolina Dean in Marvel’s Runaways, and Sprouse played Luke Hart in the 2021 film Tyger Tyger. Austin North, Libe Barer, Rob Estes, and Brian Austin Green will all appear in Beautiful Disaster alongside Sprouse and Gardner. Producing the love story are Brian Pitt, Mark Clayman, and Jonathan Deckler, President/COO of Voltage Pictures. Deckler will also be in charge of the movie’s international distribution.
