LAKKI MARWAT: Security forces killed 12 terrorists of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa .
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said the operation was conducted on the information of terrorists’ presence in Lakki Marwat. The security forces met a shootout with the terrorists when they were fleeing the area in a vehicle.
During exchange of firing, 12 terrorists were killed while weapons and Afghan currency were recovered from their custody.
Later, a clearance operation was carried out in the area.

The tribal leaders of the area have lauded the action of the security forces for eliminating the terrorists from the area.
Earlier on Jan 28, a terrorist was killed by security forces during an Intelligence-Based Operation in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), intense fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists during the operation. As a result, one terrorist was killed in the exchange of fire.
