Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in the court stated, “There is no affirmative factual proof of irreparable loss,” in a report that Radar Online was able to receive. The case is not in contention. “There is no scheduled trial date. Waiting until their planned hearing dates will not harm the plaintiffs in any way, it stressed.

His ongoing efforts to obtain documentation pertaining to the sale of Chateau Miraval from the Maleficent actor, her business, and other individuals involved led to the Babylon actor’s most recent action. Pitt requested the details before the hearing, which is planned for March and will decide whether the case would be taken up again in California, as was previously reported by the same publication.

For the uninitiated, Pitt sued Jolie earlier this year over Chateau Miraval, a vineyard they formerly owned together in the south of France. The former lovers resolved not to sell their holdings in the vineyard without first contacting each other after purchasing a majority interest in it in 2008.

But after a contentious divorce from Pitt in 2016, the Eternals actress sold her shares in the vineyard to the Russian booze behemoth Stoli, angering the Fight Club actor.

When Jolie sold her shares to Tenute del Mondo, a company run by tycoon Yuri Shefler who is described to in court records as “an aggressive third-party competitor,” Pitt alleged in his lawsuit that Jolie did not consult him beforehand. Through her former firm, Jolie filed a $250 million cross-complaint, saying that Pitt planned to take over the business as retaliation for their divorce and their custody dispute.

After Jolie herself filed a cross-complaint against Pitt, alleging that the actor physically attacked her and her children during their 2016 aircraft altercation, the legal drama between the ex-couple went from nasty to explosive.
