Prince Andrew desires to ‘test the waters’ on using his HRH title again

  • Prince Andrew is said to be “perplexed” as to why he cannot use his HRH title.
  • If he obtains permission from his brother King Charles, he may resume using it in a “low-key” manner.
  • He was stripped of his military affiliations and patronages after a sex scandal.

Prince Andrew wants to “test the waters” and resume using his HRH title, according to a source.

In the aftermath of a sex scandal, the Duke of York stepped down from royal duties, and his mother, the late Queen, stripped him of his military affiliations and patronages.

He was stripped of his patronages and honorary military titles, and he was also forbidden from using his HRH status.

However, it has recently been reported that if he obtains permission from his brother King Charles, he may resume using his HRH in a “low-key” manner.

Andrew is said to be aware that he will never return to royal duties or reclaim any patronages that have been taken away from him.

However, according to the Ephraim Hardcastle column, he is “perplexed” as to why he cannot use his HRH title – though no formal announcement will be made.

“It is more likely that he will just start using it again in a low-key way to test the waters – should he get the King’s consent,” a source told the newspaper.

Andrew was last seen in public on Christmas Day, when he and the rest of his family were walking to church for their annual festive service at Sandringham.
