An individual who reportedly attempted to break into Billie Eilish’s family’s Los Angeles home is the subject of her request for a temporary restraining order.
TMZ.com reports that the 21-year-old pop star’s attorneys have asked for protection from Christopher Anderson after learning that he allegedly tried to enter her parents’ home earlier this month. Her father, Patrick O’Connell, has also claimed that he has appeared at the home several times since December.
State police were called to the house five times, according to the paperwork, and according to Billie, the encounters have left her feeling “considerable anxiety, fear, and emotional distress.”
According to reports, Anderson has been expressing his affection and want to meet the artist.
The singer is requesting an order to keep her parents and brother Finneas safe in addition to protection for herself.
She states she no longer feels at ease going back to the home where she and her brother were raised.
Following allegations that a masked intruder had attempted to scale a fence and obtain entrance during the incident on January 5, police arrived on the site and captured a man.
It follows an interview Billie gave to Vogue magazine when she discussed her struggle with body image and how she spent years hating herself.
She told the publication: “Going through my teenage years of hating myself and all that stupid s***. A lot of it came from my anger towards my body, and how mad I was at how much pain it’s caused me, and what I’ve lost because of things that happened to it … I felt like my body was gaslighting me for years. I had to go through a process of being like, My body is actually me. And it’s not out to get me.”
