In a shooting that occurred on Monday at a Christmas car show in Fort Pierce, Florida, eight people were hurt, one of them gravely, according to investigators.
According to Suzanne Woodward, a spokesman for the St. Lucie County sheriff’s office, four more persons were hurt while trying to flee the 5:30 p.m. disturbance at Avenue M and 13th Street.
One of those four, according to West Palm Beach’s NBC affiliate WPTV, is a child.
Officials from the sheriff’s office claimed that it wasn’t a mass shooting where individuals were shot at random. Later in the evening, more details were anticipated to be made public.
According to WPTV, there was an argument between two people before the shooting. The broadcaster said that no suspects have been detained.
The auto show was listed as a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day celebration.
