Princess Diana biographer, Andrew Morton the Royal had no remorse about penning a book about her life. Diana died without any remorse, according to Morton, who wrote the Princess’ biography with her assistance.
However, Morton revealed a crucial query he omitted from his correspondence with the former Princess of Wales in an interview with Hello! magazine’s A Right Royal Podcast.
He stated: “I never questioned her on the subject of “why” once. Possibly because she asked herself, “Why am I doing this?”” However, he went on to say that Diana was always “relieved” that the book had been published.
He stated: “When I sent Diana to read chapter six, she was in tears reading it because it brought back so many memories. I remember times when Diana was in tears talking about some of the troubles in her life, particularly her suicide attempts.
“She did have a challenging and terrible childhood, and discussing that as well was like ploughing a field; it brought all kinds of unhappiness to the surface,” he said.
