- Political figures of Balochistan met Zardari and joined PPP

KARACHI: Prominent political figures of Balochistan called on former president Asif Ali Zardari and announced to join the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Former federal minister Sardar Fateh Muhammed Husni, and former provincial ministers Nawabzada Gazin Marri and Tahir Mahmood announced joining the PPP.
Others who joined the PPP includes Coordinator to Chief Minister Balochistan Nawabzada Jamal Raisani, Mir Farid Raisani, Mir Abdullah Rahaija, and Mir Allah Bux Rind.
Zardari congratulated the newly-joined party members o joining the PPP. He said there is a historical relation between PPP and Balochistan.
He said the PPP is struggling hard for the rights of the province. He said the PPP was the strongest actor in the politics of Balochistan and would never compromise on the people’s rights.
On December 31 last year, former finance minister Mir Zahoor Buledi, former ministers Saleem Khan Khoso, and SACM Agha Shakeel Ahmed Durrani joined the PPP. The three politicians belong to the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).
Zardari has decided to reconstitute the PPP in Balochistan and contacted prominent political leaders of last month and invited them to join the PPP.
PPP Balochistan Women’s Wing Vice President Mahjabeen Khalid Jamali congratulated the political and tribal leaders for joining the party.
In a statement, she said that the PPP believed in serving people and therefore political and tribal personalities were joining the party.
She said that the PPP had always struggled for strengthening of democracy and people’s rights in the country and party leaders and hundreds of workers sacrificed their lives.
She said that Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari were carrying forward the vision of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Benazir Bhutto.
She also welcomed former tribal and political leaders for joining the PPP. She hoped that they would play an active role in Balochistan. She said PPP would win with a huge majority in general elections across the country including Balochistan.
