James Meade was another of William’s best men at his 2011 wedding – Harry claims it is a lie that he served as his brother’s best man.

Meade and Thomas Van Straubanzee are said to have delivered the best man speech at the wedding.

He is known as “Meadey,” and he lives with his wife Lady Laura in Norfolk, near Kate and William’s Amner Hall.

He and William first met when they were both students at Eton College.

Meade is the son of Richard Meade, Britain’s most successful male equestrian in Olympic history, having won three gold medals.

Meade is also Princess Charlotte’s godfather, and he read the lesson at her Christening service.
