A royal biographer has warned that the Royal Family’s image is being harmed as a result of Prince Harry‘s charges against them.
The Duke of Sussex appears to make a series of assertions about his royal kin in leaked excerpts from his eagerly expected biography Spare.
Among them is an altercation with his brother, Prince William, in which he was knocked to the ground and broke a dog’s dish.
Other leaks from the Sun, Daily Mail, and Guardian claim that Harry admits to using drugs, asked his father King Charles not to marry Queen Consort Camilla, and that William and Kate persuaded him to attend a party dressed in a Nazi outfit.
So yet, neither Buckingham Palace nor Kensington Palace have responded to any of the allegations.
However, royal author Tom Bower believes the royals are making a “huge mistake” by not responding – and that William should.
Mr Bower wrote a biography of Meghan called Revenge, which was re-released in paperback with a fresh revised chapter, as well as a book about King Charles.
“The problem is Charles doesn’t like confrontation and he clearly has guilty feelings towards his sons because of Diana and everything. he told the Mirror.
“His advisors don’t realize that silence won’t work. They can’t say we are not going to wash our dirty linen in public because it is being washed in public.
“And the damage to the image of the royal family and the damage to the image of Britain is enormous.
“The only way to stop it would be for William to give an interview at some stage to say what Harry and Meghan are saying is completely untrue.
“And that really in my view is the only way in which they can restore credibility. They just cannot sit back because outside of Britain, people will believe everything Harry says and the consequences for Britain are really serious.”
