- “Down in the DM,” Yo Gotti finally got his wish.
Angela Simmons and Yo Gotti announced their relationship over the weekend by posting adorable images of themselves online.
Simmons, 35, uploaded many images from a posh picture shoot with the rapper and a Rolls-Royce, in which she is dressed in a black sequined gown and he is wearing an all-black suit.
The entrepreneur captioned the picture, saying, “You are all I need and more.
She then posted a picture of Yo Gotti, 41, pouring champagne into her glass while she is inside the car. In the meantime, she wrote “Happier than ever” on a black background in her Instagram Stories.
Yo Gotti, real name Mario Mims, tweeted a video of him marvelling at her dress and saying, “Happy New Year, you’re looking fantastic,” in a post of his own. He wrote “Ain loss a crush since High School” as the post’s caption.
Intimate shots from the shoot, including one in which he is resting against a car and holding her behind, were also shared by him. Happy New Year 2023, CMG, he wrote in the post’s description.
In 2015, Yo Gotti’s breakthrough song “Down in the DM,” in which he publicly acknowledged his desire in Simmons, started generating buzz about the couple.

They were like, “Damn Gotti, you brave,” he rapped. “And I just followed Angela (Simmons)/Boy, I had a crush on Angela Simmons/ “F— it, I’m going to announce my (plans) to the world.”
Then, after she became engaged to Sutton Tennyson, he sang about her once more in “Save It for Me” in 2017.
He rapped, “Gave Angela my number/I thought I had her/Her n— arrested her, married, it made me madder.” Although I accept it and am moving on, the truth is that I want her more. Perhaps my mention of her name prompted him to act more quickly.

Tennyson, Simmons’ ex-fiancé, was shot and died on November 3, 2018. Sutton Joseph, their 6-year-old son, is also theirs.
