Jeremy Renner, who is in “The Avengers,” is getting treatment for serious injuries he got while ploughing snow, his agent said.
Renner, who is 51 years old, is in critical condition but stable, the actor’s rep said on Sunday. No more information was available about how badly Renner was hurt.
He lives in Nevada with his family. In a news release, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office said that Renner was hurt in Reno and flown to the hospital. The release says that he was the only one involved and that the sheriff’s office is looking into it.
Renner plays Hawkeye, a superhero on Marvel’s movies and TV shows who is a good shot and part of the Avengers team.
He has been nominated for an Oscar for acting twice, for the movies “The Hurt Locker” and “The Town,” which came right after each other. In the 2008 movie “The Hurt Locker,” Renner played a bomb disposal expert in Iraq, which helped make him a well-known name.
In 2012, “The Avengers” made him a permanent part of Marvel’s big story plans. Since then, his character has been in several sequels and has his own Disney+ show, “Hawkeye.”
