  • The family of Lea Michele had a significant year.
  • Lea Michele says 2022 was one of my favorites.
  • Starting the year off travelling with my best friend.

Lea Michele 36-year-old Golden Globe nominee thought back on the good things that happened in 2022, like her Broadway debut as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl and the first day of preschool for her 2-year-old son Ever Leo.

Finding just one image to represent this year was nearly impossible. She began in the caption, “I put together a slide and there were too many to fit.

Michele continued, “Starting the year off travelling with my best friend, living and loving NYC with my husband and our family, to the [HBO documentary Spring Awakening: Those You’ve Known], performing at the TONYS, learning I would finally be Fanny, and then opening on Broadway in FUNNY GIRL and having so many more incredible dreams come true for our show. There is much for which to be glad and thankful.

She shared a picture of the little Ever strolling down a hallway while carrying a rucksack that was almost as big as him and emblazoned with his initials. Another image showed Michele strolling down a sidewalk while carrying her son.

But in the end, this picture says it all. Ever’s first day of preschool occurred on September 6. For our family, it was a significant day, she wrote. “In the morning, we snapped pictures and prepared his small luggage. A few hours later, I would make my Broadway debut as Fanny Brice. A significant day had come for our small family.

He was unaware of what I had planned for that day. And for a time, he won’t fully comprehend much of this. However, the great [Renée Elise Goldsberry] recently informed me that the blessings and gifts we acquire in life aren’t just for us; they are also for our offspring.

This is for you, Ever, then. all of it. Always. 2022, you were a favorite of mine. 2023 I hope you’re prepared for me,” Michele said in her final post.

With her spouse Zandy Reich, whom she wed the previous year in March 2019, Michele welcomed their first child in August 2020.
