- Simon Cowell appeared on Wednesday’s episode of Loose Women’s Day.
- He was talking about his eight-year-old son Eric, whom he has with fiancée Lauren Silverman.
- The singer said that his son is his “own man” and gives him advice on TV shows.
During his first television appearance after causing alarm with his “unrecognisable” appearance, Simon Cowell heaped compliments on his obstinate kid, Eric, who makes decisions for him on his talent shows.
On Wednesday’s episode of Loose Women, the 63-year-old music magnate discussed his eight-year-old son Eric, whom he has with his 45-year-old fiancée Lauren Silverman.
His appearance occurred shortly after his ‘unrecognisable’ performance at the Royal Variety Performance, which was shot on December 2 and broadcast on ITV on Tuesday.
He stated that his son is his “own man” and does not hesitate to give him his opinion on his popular television talent shows since Eric is “always right.”
When asked if Eric ever offers Simon advice, he responded, “Oh my God yes, non-stop by the way. I have a good idea what he’s going to be when older. He’s got his own opinion and he’s his own man which is really important.”
“The great thing is when I watch the shows, when they go out I’m looking at Eric thinking does he like something? and he’s normally right,” he added.
Simon, who had previously pledged not to get married or have children, stated that he was “late to the party” with fatherhood, but that it was the “greatest thing” that had ever happened to him.
Simon welcomed his son Eric in 2014 with his 45-year-old fiancée Lauren, whom he plans to marry after abandoning his bachelor lifestyle.
