British Prime Minister on Monday, Rishi Sunak, any demand for a ceasefire that is issued by Russia in a manner that is unilateral would be “absolutely useless in the current circumstances.” according to statements.
At the summit of the leaders of the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) that was held in Riga, Latvia, Sunak stated that such a call from Russia would be “fake.”
“It would be used by Russia to regroup, to reinforce their troops, and until they have withdrawn from conquered territory there can and should be no real negotiation,” Sunak continued.
“Our collective resolve is clear, and we have and will continue to support Ukraine. And that is first and foremost because their security is our security,” the prime minister added.
The following countries are represented in the Joint Economic Committee: Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden.
