A police cruiser that was sent to the scene of a collision that occurred in Nottinghamshire was engaged in a collision of its own while on the way to the location of the other collision.

On London Road in Newark on Trent, shortly after 10:00 GMT, a collision involving a police car and another vehicle took place.

The car was reportedly heading toward an accident at the moment, as reported by the police.

On London Road, the police car was involved in a collision with another vehicle.

As a direct consequence of the collision, the officer got some relatively minor injuries.

The female driver of the second vehicle reportedly required medical attention at the hospital, but the injuries she sustained were not considered to be life-threatening. According to the police,

It was claimed that none of the individuals engaged in the earlier incident sustained any injuries as a result of the tragedy.
