“Vinny,” you ask. On Friday, December 16, while promoting the upcoming Dancing with the Stars Live 2023 Tour, which will include the Jersey Shore star, 35, and the Bachelorette alum as cohosts on particular dates, Windey, 31, cracked jokes with Us Weekly.
Following their encounter on season 31 of DWTS this autumn, the star of The Bachelor Nation exclusively admitted to Us that she actually has no idea what is going on between her and Guadagnino. (Charli D’Amelio and Mark Ballas won the mirrorball trophy, with Windey and dance partner Val Chmerkovskiy coming in second.)
“You guys need to ask him. He’s so dead to me because he hasn’t been doing any press and I have,” the nurse quipped. “I’m, like, dealing with all these questions. But he’s the one who started it.”
When curious viewers realized that the season 19 co-Bachelorette was flirtatiously exchanging Instagram messages with the New Yorker in November, the co-Bachelorette made headlines. Although Windey has previously said that she would date the MTV star, she admitted to Us on Friday that she is unsure whether anything will come of their banter.
“He’s so much fun. We built a good friendship on the show and just I think like naturally kind of clicked,” she said. “I think both of our senses of humor are similar, so [we are] just, like, flirting in the comments [and] seeing where things go.”
The native of Colorado admitted that she was surprised by how committed her followers are in a potential relationship with Guadagnino.
“That’s kinda been the craziest part about it is, like, how much other people love it. And they know we’re just messing around and they don’t even care,” Windey told Us. “So it’s just fun to watch. It just feels good that people do root for you and, like, want you to be happy.”
Despite the pair’s support from fans, the news personality said that because everything is so new, she doesn’t “know” if they are “compatible.”
She admitted, “I really don’t know that much about him. “During the tournament, I had such tunnel vision. You don’t really interact with the other celebrities all that much. But there’s only one way to find out, you know!
The DWTS Tour, which begins on Friday, January 6, will provide plenty of opportunities for Windey and Guadagnino to spend time together.
