This Joe Alwyn and Emma Stone reunion is royally perfect.
They recently appeared together on the set of their newest movie, And. The two previously portrayed a married couple in the 2018 movie The Favourite.
The pair are seen grinning in the photo from December 13 as Emma, who is clad in a purple long-sleeve and a burnt orange coat, is sat inside a blue automobile. Joe, dressed in grey pants and a striped shirt, bends over from outside the car as she puts up her phone, revealing a gold band on that finger.
Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, and Hong Chau are all part of the movie’s impressive cast, despite the fact that narrative specifics have not yet been revealed.
The Mary Queen of Scots star has had a busy year, and the movie also features Joe and Emma reuniting with The Favourite director Yorgos Lanthimos.
He has continued his musical collaborations with longterm partner Taylor Swift in addition to appearing in the movies Stars at Noon and Catherine Called Birdy, as well as the limited series Conversations with Friends, which is based on the same-named Sally Rooney novel.
Joe is credited under his pseudonym William Bowery for co-writing “Sweet Nothing” on Taylor’s Midnights album. Previously, he also worked on Taylor’s 2020 albums folklore and evermore by helping create tracks “exile,” “betty” and “champagne problems.”
The “All Too Well” singer revealed William to be Joe in 2020 while diving deeper into folklore‘s creation process.
“Joe plays piano beautifully and he’s always just playing and making things up and kind of creating things,” Taylor said. “And ‘exile’ was crazy because Joe had written that entire piano part.”
