Huma Qureshi addressed the growing demands of Bollywood actors.
Vidya offered support for Huma, saying that if a movie is good people will watch it.
The total quantity of social media users doesn’t really matter if it isn’t.

Actress Huma Qureshi began by addressing the growing demands Bollywood performers are under to increase their social media following in order to land better roles and how it is not her responsibility to consider those figures.

The Badlapur actor stated during the roundtable conversation, which also included Vidya Balan, Mrunal Thakur, and Nimrat Kaur, “I am not a social media influencer, I am an actor. I act. In the West also, there are a lot of actors… but they don’t behave like influencers. I am sorry but, most of us… I am including myself also, sometimes we behave like influencers! I am like… my job is not to do this, my job is to act. There is a big difference, and somewhere I think it’s just become so blurred. Just because you have 10 million followers doesn’t mean you can do that part well or not.”

In the same video, Vidya offered support for Huma, saying that if a movie is good, there is no need to mention its social media following because people will still watch it. The total quantity of social media users doesn’t really matter if it isn’t.

In the same conversation, Huma, who most recently appeared in the critically acclaimed Vasan Bala film Monica, O My Darling, lauded star Tabu and stated,”She is amazing and at the top of her game. She is part of two of the biggest films of the year and she doesn’t do any promotions!” In Pooja Meri Jaan, where she co-stars with Mrunal Thakur, Vikram Singh Chauhan, and Vijay Raaz, Huma will next be seen. She has worked with Dinesh Vijan twice, the first time being on the currently in production film Badlapur. Navjot Gulati is the director of Pooja Meri Jaan.

Tabu, however, had a fantastic year in 2022. Thanks to the box office successes of Drishyam 2 and Bhul Bhulaiyaa 2, which both crossed the 200 crore mark. Kuttey, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Arjun Kapoor, Radhika Madan, and Kumud Mishra, will be the actor’s next project. Aasmaan Bhardwaj, the son of Vishal Bhardwaj, will make his directorial debut with Kuttey. The film will release on January 13, 2023.
