Party Down had a devoted following and was a minor show on STARZ. Sadly, few people tuned in to watch it when it was broadcast. Fortunately, the cast has maintained its popularity and growth, and a new series has been created that will reunite us with our favourite catering crew! In the second season, which is set ten years later, Henry Pollard (Adam Scott) links up with a group of “artists” who are trying to make a living by working catering jobs but obviously are still simply trying to make ends meet.

Today, a quick preview for the show was given to us. It showed Scott, Ken Marino, Jane Lynch, Martin Starr, Ryan Hansen, and Megan Mullally getting ready for an event while going toward the camera. Having the crew back together also felt right. Especially when Scott asks at the end of the teaser, “Are we having fun yet?” The group, including newcomers Tyrel Jackson Williams and Zo Chao, are all shown in a new picture from the show sitting in a kitchen while wearing their uniforms. The six episodes will also include James Marsden as a recurrent guest star.

The series would debut on the Lionsgate+ premium streaming service in the UK, Brazil, and Latin America, as well as the STARZ app, all STARZ streaming and on-demand platforms, and internationally. In the United States and Canada, STARZ will also broadcast the series at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

Without Lizzy Caplan in the teaser, it does seem a little bit like one member of the family skipped Christmas dinner. Despite having a love relationship with Scott’s Henry as Casey in the show, Caplan was unable to participate in the next season due to scheduling conflicts. Still, how encouraging is it to see everyone back in action and prepared to run the best catering company possible? Well, that made me happier than I could have imagined.
