Moonage Daydream, a documentary by director Brett Morgen, will be re-released in IMAX theatres on December 7 after its initial September 16 release, when it was the highest-grossing documentary of the year.

The documentary, which looked at David Bowie’s life and music, brought in over $12 million internationally and $4.5 million domestically.

The TCL Chinese Theater in Los Angeles will be the first IMAX theatre in the country to show Moonage Daydream again. With this re-release, viewers will be able to see Morgen’s depiction of Bowie’s life and musical career in all its glory.

With his production company, Public Road Productions, the director of Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck, The Kid Stays in the Picture, and Jane, Morgan took on multiple roles for Moonage Daydream, including directing, writing, editing, and producing.

The first authorised biography of Bowie, Moonage Daydream, illuminates the artist’s life and genius and elevates the cinematic experience with Bowie’s narration.

Moonage Daydream, a documentary that explores Bowie’s creative, spiritual, and musical journey, features 48 musical tracks and is told through breathtaking, vibrant footage, performances, and music.

Critics hailed Morgen’s depiction of Bowie’s death as one of the greatest music documentaries ever made. Moonage Daydream has gained recognition as a result of the outstanding performance given at the documentary’s premiere.

The movie received five additional nominations for the Critics’ Choice Documentary Awards, where it took home the trophy for Best Editing. Additionally, it has received one IDA nomination and three Cinema Eve nods.

The late David Bowie, real name David Robert Jones, deserves to be recognised because he was regarded as a major figure in the music business and one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. Bowie passed away on January 10, 2016, in New York.

In a few cities, Moonage Daydream will be shown in IMAX on December 7.
