The singer of On The Floor celebrated her 2002 album This Is Me’s 20th anniversary…
then by unveiling This Is Me…Now, her new endeavor.
On Friday, November 25, Lopez took to Instagram to share an unique teaser in which she recreates the appearance from her 2002 album cover before gradually transitioning into the J. Lo of the present.
In the posted video, the Jenny From the Block singer states, “This is me, then,” while wearing a white frock and a delicate pink beanie.
She then removes the hat and adopts a glam ensemble that includes a short corset top, a black leather jacket, and matching slacks. She continues, “Now this is me.
The album tracklist is included in the caption after the teaser, and it appears that several tracks also allude to the fact that this album will be somewhat inspired by her romance with Ben Affleck.
The remaining two songs on the album, in addition to Dear Ben pt. II, are named Midnight Trip to Vegas and Greatest Love Story Never Told, and they reflect on the couple’s reunion and spellbinding wedding this past summer.
After years of just releasing single tracks, Lopez recently hinted the arrival of a whole album in an interview.
This album, she claimed, “is the most sincere work I have ever produced, the conclusion of who I am as a person and an artist.” “People assume they know details about what happened to me along the road, but they actually don’t, and they frequently get it completely incorrect. I had a part of myself that I was keeping hidden from everyone.”
