Meghan, 41, and Harry, 38, said, “The Invictus Games Foundation, The Mission Continues, Team Rubicon, Scotty’s Little Soldiers, and The Greatest Generations Foundation are among the groups we support. Thanks for your service every day.”
Meghan and Harry visited a New Jersey military facility for Veterans Day last year. Meghan and Harry spoke about mental health and communities at a military dinner.
They stopped in New Jersey after attending the 2021 Salute to Freedom dinner in New York City. Prince Harry underlined the significance of helping veterans in prepared comments at the dinner.
Harry, who spent a decade in the British army and two deployments in Afghanistan, said, “My military experience made me who I am today, and I will always be thankful for the individuals I got to serve alongside.” “War also teaches you things you hope no one else learns. Harry stated he founded the Invictus Games “to commemorate those who have sacrificed so much” and to highlight that military members and their families are “the strongest people in the world”
He welcomed the 2021 Intrepid Valor Award recipients “are inseparable. You’re in the superteam. We’ve got your back. Nobody’s alone.”
