According to a post on Telegram, the utility’s dispatch center will begin limiting the supply of electricity to consumers in the following areas beginning at 6 a.m. local time on Saturday (Saturday morning, 12 a.m. Eastern Time): Kyiv city, the Kyiv region, the Chernihiv region, the Cherkasy region, the Zhytomyr region, the Sumy region, the Kharkiv region, and the Poltava region.
“Repair and restoration works continue around the clock,” Ukrenergo wrote.
Since the beginning of October, Ukraine has been the target of a widespread attack on its essential infrastructure and power sources.
As of this week alone, millions of people in the regions of Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia have been left without sporadic access to electricity and water as a result of Russian attacks on essential infrastructure.
