Quentin Tarantino declines to collaborate on Marvel and DC movies

  • Quentin Tarantino said he had no desire to helm any Marvel or DC movies.
  • He  claimed that filmmakers recruited to lead the movies are similar to “hired hands”.
  • He also announced that he will now produce his final movie.

Academy Award-winning director Quentin Tarantino said he had no desire to helm any Marvel or DC movies.

The Oscar winner claimed in an interview that filmmakers recruited to lead the movies are similar to “hired hands,” and he doesn’t want any part of it.

To carry out those tasks, Tarantino declared, “You have to be a hired hand.” “I’m not an employee. I’m not trying to find work.”

The superhero film series from Marvel and DC, respectively, attracted prominent Hollywood figures.

The first Thor was directed by Kenneth Branagh, the first Spider-Man movie was helmed by Sam Raimi, and the first Doctor Strange was created by Scott Derrickson. Nevertheless, Edgar Wright was also hired to direct Ant-Man, but the plan failed.

It is important to note that these filmmakers weren’t at the height of their powers when they produced these comic book movies.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, directed by Quentin Tarantino in 2019, won two Oscars. The legendary filmmaker also announced that he will now produce his final movie, which may be Kill Bill Vol. 3.
