LAHORE: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday requested the chief justice of Pakistan to form a full bench to hold hearing into the allegations levelled by Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Bol News reported.
“Democracy demands from us to hold investigation into the allegations. I will write to the CJP and request him to constitute the full court bench. I will accept whatever the decision the full bench announces,” Shehbaz Sharif said while talking with media in Lahore.

On the firing incident on Imran Khan, PM Shehbaz said it was an unfortunate incident. They said there was a conspiracy behind it, if Imran Khan had evidence of conspiracy then he should present it, he said. He said he should not remain the prime minister for a second if he had evidence.
He said if the FIR was not being lodged then they were in power in Punjab, not him. He said the Punjab government had their own institutes they should hold investigation into the incident. The federal government had sent the Punjab government a letter, and shared whatever the information it had found, he said. “We were told that there were security concerns while Imran Khan was holding rallies,” he said.
Shehbaz Sharif blamed Imran Khan of lying to the nation. “The nation is continuously being lied to,” he said.
The prime minister said it was obligatory on all including him to prevent the nation from destruction. It was such a time that he was avoiding any strong statement, he said.
