LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Saturday said people were not satisfied with performance of the Punjab Police inspector general, Bol News reported.
“Punjab government should go to the bottom, under whose pressure the IG is helpless,” Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in a statement.
On the federal police’s taking action within the limits of Punjab, he asked if the Punjab government had given them permission to carry out the action, or if the Punjab Police had allowed the Islamabad Police for that. It appeared as if some people were helpless and their incapacitation was visible, he maintained.

“Confessional statement of the suspect was made viral within minutes of his arrest,” he said.
The PTI vice chairman said the PTI was the country’s only federal party. An attack was carried out on the most popular leader of the country and former prime minister, he said. He said when they went to get an FIR registered, the police tried to delay it.
Despite passage of more than 48 hours, the FIR was not lodged, which raised a question mark, he said.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said hopefully Imran Khan would soon be discharged from hospital as his condition was improving. He said doctors were satisfied with Imran Khan’s recovery.
On the inquiry commission, he said how they could expect a transparent inquiry under the person who was alleged of it.
