Nick Kyrgios settled with a spectator he accused of being “drunk out of her mind” at the Wimbledon final.

Anna Palus hired lawyers to sue the 27-year-old Australian for slander.

Novak Djokovic defeated the world number 22 in four sets in his first Grand Slam final.

Kyrgios complained to the referee that a supporter looked “like she has had around 700 beers”.

Palus, who witnessed the final with her mother, accused the 2022 Australian Open doubles winner of a “reckless and utterly unjustified charge”.

Kyrgios apologised for the comment and stated he will donate to charity via Knight Temple Law, which represented Palus.

Kyrgios told the umpire that Anna Palus, a fan, was distracting him during the match.

I apologize.

“To apologize, I donated £20,000 to Ms. Palus’s charity, Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. I won’t discuss this again.”
