According to pro-Russian officials in the occupied territory, at least six people have died and ten more have been hurt in the previous 24 hours as a result of Ukrainian missile attacks on the eastern Luhansk region.
According to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC), which receives support from Moscow, Ukrainian forces used American HIMARS multi-launch rocket launchers to launch the attacks.
The strikes on Thursday and Friday targeted the communities of Lysychansk, Brianka, Troitske, Rubizhne, Chervony Prapor, and Brianka, according to the JCCC.
It went on to say that five of those slain were workers at Chervony Prapor’s Ministry of Emergency Situations.
While a Ukrainian counteroffensive makes gains in the country’s south and east, Russia is attempting to annex four regions of Ukraine, including Luhansk, in violation of international law. Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, declared on Wednesday that he had signed a decree establishing martial control in the four regions.
