Princes George, Louis, and Princess Charlotte, the children of Kate Middleton and Prince William, are said to have begun using their new last names after their father received a new title following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
The three young royals were previously known as the Cambridges due to their parents’ titles of Duke and Duchess of Cambridge; however, after the Queen’s death, their titles were modified, and they received new last names.

At the Order of Service at the Queen’s funeral service in Westminster Abbey on September 19, 2022, Prince George and Princess Charlotte were both addressed by their new last names; they are now known as Prince George of Wales and Princess Charlotte of Wales, respectively.
At their new school, Lambrook, next to their new residence Adelaide Cottage, their names are also anticipated to change.
This upheaval follows King Charles III of Britain’s announcement that his son Prince William will now be recognised as the Prince of Wales in his first speech as monarch on September 9, 2022, making Kate the first Princess of Wales since William’s late mother, Princess Diana.
Prince William is now first in line to the after Charles’ ascension, followed by his children in order of second, third, and fourth.
