Sindh High Court SHC on Friday announced its verdict on a plea filed against the government orders banning congregational prayers and lockdown.

As per details, The Sindh High Court  SHC rejected the plea filed against the government orders banning congregational prayers and lockdown.

However, The court in its verdict remarked; Executives are using their powers to save human lives. The court will not interfere in the policy matters of the government.

Moreover, It is pertinent to mention that the Sindh government has announced to enforce complete lockdown across the province from 12 noon to 3 pm on Friday (April 17) to restrict people from participating in the congregational Jummah prayers.

According to the details, restriction as part of the restrictive measures to control the spread of the Coronavirus epidemic. Under the directive, no traffic would be allowed on the road during this time period.

Moreover, Egypt’s Al-Azhar has issued a Fatwa (edict) on the request of President Dr. Arif Alvi permitting suspension of Friday prayers to control the spread of deadly coronavirus pandemic in Pakistan.

Furthermore, President also said on twitter, “I request Ulema to take urgent action to stop #CoronaVirus spread in Pakistan, based on principles of Islam from Quran & Sunnah. Countries that have stopped congregational prayers: UAE, Saudia, Iran, Algeria, Tunisia, Jordan, Kuwait, Palestine, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, etc.”
