The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) on Saturday was able to shut down an illegal website that stole company data from the SECP website and let anyone access it.

Sources told ProPakistani that the SECP’s complaint about the website CompaniesHouse was dealt with by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).

The website has been taken down, and new safety measures have been put in place to make sure this doesn’t happen again. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) hasn’t done anything about that website yet.

SECP had talked to both the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) about taking action against the site and making sure it was shut down as soon as possible.

The SECP data had been stolen by the website, which then gave illegal access to the public without the commission’s permission.

The SECP had started all legal actions against the people who had gotten in without permission.

The SECP said again that it took care of this issue with the utmost urgency and will continue to keep its systems and data as safe as possible.
