A viral video shows a woman beating a residential society security guard with a stick for allegedly mistreating stray dogs. The activist is Dimpi Mahendru. Dimpi allegedly threatens the man in the video to complain to BJP MP and animal rights activist Maneka Gandhi. The man guards the LIC officer colony under the New Agra police station. In the video, he says he’s an ex-soldier trying to rid the colony of stray dogs.

Agra police took note of the video and filed a case against the woman who claims to be an animal rights activist. Superintendent of Police (City) Vikas Kumar said, “A video is going viral in which a woman was seen beating a guard with a stick. The Agra police has taken cognisance of the video and legal action is being taken.”
New Agra SHO Vijay Vikaram Singh told the media source, “A complaint has been given by guard Akhilesh Singh working at the LIC officer colony. We have been trying to get the details of the woman who was seen beating up the guard in the viral video.”
Dimpi later said she’s fought animal cruelty for 15-18 years. She said the colony called her two-three days ago about alleged dog cruelty, but she was out of town.
