Ranveer has chosen to keep quiet for a while, heeding the counsel of his close friends, including Karan Johar and his wife Deepika Padukone. According to a close acquaintance of the power couple, “He has been told to dress soberly, chat less, and quit doing his favourite lap dance with everyone in the room.”

For others who arrived later, the term “lap dance” refers to Ranveer’s propensity to sit in his friends’ laps and give them cheek kisses.
