- Asia Cup will most likely be hosted by UAE.

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has contacted the Emirates Cricket Board of the United Arab Emirates (ECB) to host the Asia Cup 2022.
According to Sri Lankan media, SLC has informed the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) that they cannot hold the Asia’s mega vent in Sri Lanka due to the country’s political and economic turmoil.
However, they intend to host the Asian tournament in a different location. According to reports, SLC will contact ECB in order to host the multi-national event in the UAE.
Regarding this, the SLC has not issued an official confirmation. Meanwhile, Indian media reported that any Asian nation, including India, is eligible to host the Asia Cup 2022.
Notably, the Lanka Premier League, which was set for August of this year in Sri Lanka, was also cancelled due to the country’s political unrest.
