• IndiGo flight 6E-1406, operating from Sharjah to Hyderabad was diverted to Karachi.
• The airplane, an Airbus 320, had reported a technical issue and is being examined.
• This was the second such instance in two weeks where an Indian airline was forced to make an emergency landing.

On Sunday, a Sharjah-to-Hyderabad aeroplane experienced a technical problem; and had to make an emergency landing at Karachi Jinnah’s International Airport.

At the time of this writing, the IndiGo aircraft is being inspected at the Karachi airport. “IndiGo flight 6E-1406, bound for Hyderabad from Sharjah; was diverted to Karachi. The pilot noticed a problem with the equipment.

“Necessary procedures were in undertaking, and the plane was diverted to Karachi out of caution.

The airline announced in its official statement that an additional flight; was being sent to Karachi to transport the customers to Hyderabad.

Later, it was in identification that an alternate Indian airline aircraft had arrived at the Karachi airport; and was ready to transport passengers after they had completed the requisite paperwork.

The fact that an Indian aeroplane had to make an emergency landing at Karachi airport; for the second time in two weeks should be in investigation.

SpiceJet’s Delhi-Dubai flight on July 5 had to make a detour to Karachi; after the pilots discovered an odd fuel depletion in one of the aircraft’s fuel tanks.

The pilot of the IndiGo plane successfully landed the jet around 2:20am; according to reliable sources inside the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA).

The Airbus 320 aircraft reported a mechanical problem and is currently awaiting discovery. Nearly 180 people were on board; they were securely sent to the transit lounge and given breakfast.
