Following widespread interruptions to its cellular, internet, and cable services across the nation; Rogers, one of Canada’s top telecommunications firms, announced on Saturday; that the “vast majority” of its customers again had access to those services.
Some consumers were unable to use ATMs or call 911 emergency services; due to the disruptions, which started on Friday morning.
According to Rogers, efforts are in progress to quickly restore services; to the company’s remaining clients.
The business said Friday afternoon that it was making headway; on resuming its services.
Rogers recognised this in a late-afternoon post on its website “the effects of our outage on your life”; adding that “every technical partner and resource is fully on deployment to address the issue”. We will let you know as soon as we are aware of the precise moment; when the Networks will be fully functional. We are presently working on finding a solution.”

The business also said that it will give consumers a credit for the interruption.
According to Statista, there will be 11.3 million cellular users; using Rogers’ services across Canada in 2021.
According to data from internet monitoring organisation NetBlocks; a fourth of Canada’s internet traffic was down on Friday.
According to a tweet from Toronto Police Operations; certain Rogers cellular users in Toronto were experiencing connectivity issues with 911.
