RAWALPINDI: Former Federal Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid said on Thursday that if the load shedding and inflation do not end then the nation will be on the streets against the government.

While taking it to his Twitter, Sheikh Rashid said that the government has been deceiving the nation and warned the people of the upcoming wheat crisis in the country adding that the government is not importing oil from Russia and coal from Afghanistan.

He opined that the Chief Election Commission should not delay in giving the reserved seats to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) after the verdict announced by High Court.

Rashid also indicated moving Supreme Court (SC) for the right of overseas Pakistanis to vote and announced that he will join the PTI protest on July 2 from Lal Haveli.

The former minister maintained that immediate elections can save the state from falling into a pit.

Earlier, he said that 45 days after Eid-ul-Azha are crucial and underscored that the general elections are the only solution for the current crisis in the country.

Rashid was of the view that all problems will be solved if transparent elections are held adding that if the incumbent government wants to arrest him he will not run away on the pretext of illness.
