Facebook is now testing audio chats that are similar to Discord. It is exploring audio channels to bring Discord-like voice chats to Groups.

Everyone can now take advantage of the audio features that are available on Facebook Groups. The audio channel in Discord is a designated location where members of a community can carry on an ad hoc chat at any hour of the day or night.

The number of improvements is testing day by  day. The company is also exploring the use of its Groups’ “channels,” or specialized sub-groups. Community feed channels are topic-based venues within the group. Whereas community chat channels organize group message threads around crucial themes.

All of these features are currently in beta and only available to a limited number of consumers. But the company has big intentions to grow that number.

The App is hard at work on more significant updates to go out to its flagship app. The business is working on a revamp that would give recommendations generated by AI a higher priority than those generated by social media. It had to be rewritten to ensure that the Groups sidebar would continue to function normally in spite of any modifications that were made to the primary feed.
