THIS is the terrifying moment a one-year-old fell from a balcony head first before being saved by an unaware bystander.

The young child is captured on camera in the northern Turkish city of Amasya making the terrible fall out of a porch.

The youngster’s plunge was then broken when he landed on the ground below and rebounded against the back of a dumbfounded shopper.

The infant, identified as Khatira Amiri, slipped over the railings and struck hero Ruhi Asci below the shoulders as he was looking out of a store window.

Baby Khatira is seen in the video sitting next to Ruhi on the concrete after the infant is seen landing on the ground behind him. Ruhi can be seen appearing surprised in the video.

The child’s Afghan-born mother emerges from behind him as he prepares to pick up the child in a panic.

Khatira was hurried by the two to the Amasya University Sabuncuoglu Serefeddin Education and Research Hospital for additional medical attention.

The youngster reportedly fell through the railings while playing on a first-floor apartment balcony, according to local media.

“At first, I assumed a flower pot had fallen on me,” an amazed Ruhi remarked. It was a child, I saw when I turned around.

They fell to the ground after rolling off my back. They bled a little bit from their mouth and teeth.

“The ambulance arrived on the spot, and they were taken to the hospital with their mother,” the speaker added.

One person wrote: “Lucky lucky baby, and lucky guy cause that may have caused him damage as well.” Others have hailed Ruhi as Khatira’s saviour.

Someone someone remarked, “My goodness, that child was lucky.”

A third person wrote: “heavenly intervention Happy Baby.”

A fourth person added, “Little baby had an angel watching over him that day,” to the chorus.

According to reports, the child is now with their mother and is in a stable condition.

It is unknown if the neighbourhood police are looking into the event.
