According to Alia Bhatt, she has been “overwhelmed” by the messages and remarks she has received since she and her husband Ranbir Kapoor revealed their impending pregnancy in an Instagram post on Monday.

While Alia is presently in London filming her Hollywood debut Heart Of Stone, she did find time to comment to a media rumor that said Ranbir could visit the UK to “bring his wife home.”

According to the rumor, Alia Bhatt will finish filming her current films, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani and Heart Of Stone, by mid-July. This would allow her to take a break without interfering with her job obligations.

Alia Bhatt said on her Instagram Stories that she doesn’t need to be “picked up” or take a break and clarified that no schedules were being impacted in any manner.

“Some people still believe that we live in a patriarchal society. FYI. Nothing has been postponed. Nobody needs to be picked up. I’m not a package; I’m a lady. I have no need to relax at all, but it’s comforting to know you’ll also have a medical certificate.

This 2022. Please help us to move past this antiquated way of thinking.” Alia Bhatt concluded her letter by saying these words: “Now if you’ll pardon me. I have my shot ready.
