- “Safe and sane” fireworks are the only type of fireworks that Stockton, California allows.
- Illegal fireworks can be in use from noon-11 p.m. Tuesday through July 4.
- Police and fire officials and the San Joaquin County Fireworks Task Force are hosting the demonstrations.
City holds Fireworks Safety Demonstrations before 14th July. The demonstrations are being held at 6:30 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday, at various locations by Stockton police, fire, and task force members; as well as the San Joaquin County Fireworks Task Force; to inform locals about how to use and dispose of “safe and sane” fireworks; that the city allows and about the dangers of illegal fireworks; and how to report them to the police.
The only sort of fireworks permitted by the city; are those that have the “Safe and Sane Seal”; of the state fire marshal and can only be in use between noon and midnight.

The Arnold Rue Community Center at 5758 Lorraine Ave, will host the demonstration on Tuesday; the Seifert Community Center at 128 W. Benjamin Holt Drive will host it on Wednesday; the Stribley Community Center at 1760 E. Sonora St. will host it on Thursday; and the Van Buskirk Community Center at 734 Houston Ave. will host it on Friday.
