“I reminded myself that this is what people need,” the actress told People magazine, admitting she felt “so useless” during that period.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, among other prominent figures, have issued a statement condemning the Russian government’s conduct.

Ukraine’s towns are still under siege, with daily air strikes, and at least 1,348 people have been killed in Mariupol since the conflict began, making it the “deadliest place in Ukraine,” according to Michelle Bachelet, the UN’s top human rights official.

President Zelenskyy of Ukraine has made countless appearances at award shows and high-profile events to raise awareness of his country’s challenges. The former actor also taped a message for the Grammy Awards in 2022, in which he urged the international community to continue to speak out against Putin and to remind the world of the atrocities he is committing.
