‘Tough Decision,’ says one netizen of McDonald’s decision to remove large fries off their menu

  • Fast food franchise McDonald’s receive trolls on the internet following their announcement on social media that they will only serve standard fries.

Pakistan’s present economic crisis is having an impact on the general populace. With increased gasoline prices and import bans, some multinational fast food firms are experiencing supply chain challenges. McDonald’s is the latest fast food company to make “adjustments.”

McDonald’s makes “sacri-fries!”
The fast food franchise’s Pakistani Instagram account made a public declaration on social media.

“Due to unprecedented supply chain issues, we have to make tough decisions,” McDonald’s Pakistan wrote. “For everyone to enjoy their favorite world-famous McFries, we will only be serving regular fries for the time being.”

Customers were also advised that the franchise is “working hard to rectify the matter.” People can still purchase a medium or large meal, but they will receive ordinary fries at reduced costs.

Netizens went to social media as soon as the news was made to ridicule McDonald’s Pakistan. People commented on the franchise’s mediocre fries. Some have accused the fast food chain of defrauding customers with their “big size” fries, which contain the same amount of food as ordinary fries.
