The Royal Family’s Prince Harry and Meghan Jubilee snubs have been dubbed ‘fascinating.’

  • The royal family conspicuously ignored Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee festivities.
  • A royal expert feels the business effectively ‘threw royal etiquette out the window,’ according to Express UK.

Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as senior royals in 2020 and relocated to the United States, returned to the United Kingdom with their children, Archie and Lilibet, for the Queen’s Jubilee, but were ‘royally snubbed’ by other senior royals such as Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Charles.

“Everyone has been captivated by the seating design at St Paul’s Cathedral,” royal expert Richard Eden stated on Palace Confidential.

“It was actually remarkable,” he continued, “because, while the Royal Family was quite anxious to ensure that Harry and Meghan were mentioned in the court circular, it was the first time in a couple of years.”

“They were listed straight after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, so they followed the order of precedence, which went out the window in the ceremony,” Eden added.

“What we witnessed in the service was Meghan and Harry confined to the second row,” he continued. So, despite being William’s brother, he had to sit behind the Queen’s relatives, who are well down the order of precedence.”

Eden went on to say that both Prince Harry and Meghan were ‘tucked away.’

It is worth noting that Harry and Meghan departed the UK before the Jubilee celebrations were through, with many royal analysts speculating that this was owing to their’second-row’ seating during the thanksgiving ceremony.
