Afghan security forces captured 48 assault rifles, including AK-47s, in the eastern province of Nangarhar on Thursday, as per the Afghan news agency.

According to the report, security officers found a lot more weapons and ammunition during the operation, including mines that could hurt both people and tanks.
As per a statement posted by the Paktia province’s communications and culture department on Thursday, security authorities have seized a cache of weaponry and ammunition, including M16 rifles made in the United States, in the province’s neighbour.
