The Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards is investigating the Labor leader for possible violations of the rules dictating what financial information MPs must reveal.

According to The Telegraph, the probe focuses on tiny royalties from law books he has previously produced as well as tickets to see Arsenal play.

According to a Labor source, the probe is focused on a handful of slightly late declarations.

During a visit to Wakefield, Sir Keir told reporters that he is “100% confident” that he has not infringed any rules, saying, “There’s no problem here.”

‘My office is dealing with it, and I will respond as soon as possible,’ he continued.

It comes as a Durham Constabulary investigation on whether he broke lockdown laws is ongoing.

Detectives are investigating if a meeting of Labor MPs and staff held during a by-election campaign violated the regulations against indoor social gatherings.

Sir Keir has argued that eating with coworkers during the workday was permissible under the law at the time.

He has stated that if he is served with a fixed penalty notice, he will quit, which he claims sets him apart from the prime minister.

Boris Johnson has refused to resign despite Scotland Yard determining that he violated the Covid-19 legislation that he demanded the country obey.

Mr. Johnson has been the subject of four different investigations by the Standards Commissioner, two of which have occurred since he became Prime Minister.

After repeated violations, he was accused of a “lack of care” and failing to show “leadership” after being investigated twice for late registration of earnings outside parliament, both before entering Downing Street.
